In the first lesson toward your gold Merit badge, you'll explore:

  • The natural difficulties we face in trying to understand our nonprofit's environment, and several antidotes to these.

  • The difference between motivation and inspiration, and how to use this knowledge to bring out the best in yourself in others in this domain.

  • Methods of drawing out your team's motivation in pursuing deeper understanding of your organization's environmental context.
